A heart of gold stopped beating two shining eyes at rest, god broke our hearts to prove he only takes the best, god knows you had to leave us, but you did not go a lone for part of us went with you the day he took you home to some you are forgotten to others just a part of the past but to us who have loved and lost you the memory will always last.
What kind of place would heaven be with all its streets of gold, if all the souls, that dwell up there like yours and mine, were old? How strange would heaven’s music sound when harps begin to ring, if children were not gathered ‘round to help the angels sing. The children that God sends to us are only just a loan, He knows we need their sunshine to make the house a home. We need the inspiration of a baby’s blessed smile. He doesn’t say they’ve come to stay, just lends them for a while. Sometimes it takes them years to do the work for which they come. Sometimes in just a month or two our Father calls them home. I like to think some souls up there bear not one sinful scar. I love to think of heaven as a place where children are.

For Somer-I know you are now singing with God and walking with Him in the garden. You are His sunshine and He loves you very much.
For Dena and family-God is also with you. He is the great comforter. I have not lost as you have and can only imagine the pain as I have a young son who I dearly love. Please look to God. And when the time is right, consider reading, The Shack, by Wm. Paul Young.
My family is praying for you and as hard as this is, we must also pray for the person responsible.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family.I saw you on GMA and it brought back so many emotions. The same thing happened to my daughter 10 years ago this Xmas. You only had Sommer for 7 years and I had Laci for 25 years but it still hurts so much. They did get the person who murdered my daughter, I hope they get the person soon that hurt Sommer. It does give you some peace to know he will be on death row and not hurt anyone again. She was a beautiful little girl ,try to think of her smile and most of all the fun times you had.She does know you loved her so much and she will be in your heart everyday even though she is not in your everyday life. Again I am so sorry and I will think of you and Sommer often
